The Seven Golden Rules of Safe AI

For children, grandparents, and everyone in between.

"Learn these, and you'll spot the wolf every time!" — Fable the Fox
  1. 1🧑‍🦳A grown-up first.Ask a grown-up you trust before using a new AI, and any time something feels strange or scary.
  2. 2🔒Keep secrets secret.Never share your full name, address, school, phone number, passwords, or photos.
  3. 3🔎Check before you trust.AI can be wrong even when it sounds sure. For anything important, also check a book or a trusted person.
  4. 4🧠AI is a helper, not a brain-swap.Let AI help you learn — but do your own thinking too, so the knowledge becomes yours.
  5. 5💛Be kind.Talk to AI, and to people online, the way you would speak to someone face to face.
  6. 6🎭Real people aren't toys.Don't pretend to be someone else. And an AI is not a real friend who loves you, however nice it sounds.
  7. 7🛑If it feels wrong, stop and tell.Anything mean, scary, or "keep this secret from grown-ups" — stop, and tell someone you trust.
